Adapteva start production of its supercomputers Parallella
Earlier this month we learned that adapteva , the renowned manufacturer of microprocessor family Epiphany , he planned his project Parallella , which seeks to bring the power of supercomputers to ordinary users.
The mini-supercomputers Parallella be formed for ARM SoC Zynq-7010 dual-core Cortex-A9 running at 1GHz, accompanied by a co-processor Adapteva Epiphany-III consists of 16 to 64 cores and with attractive prices from U.S. $99 to U.S. 199 USD.
The project required Parallella funds to the tune of U.S. $750,000 to start, with the deadline for reaching collect them tomorrow; sum that was reached at the time of writing, so it will start the project Adapteva Parallella in the coming days, no doubt very good news.
Adapteva function under the Linux system, and its co-processor can be programmed using the Eclipse ID or the OpenCL API.
