Alert for NVIDIA GeForce 320.18 WHQL drivers
Apparently not all good news with these new drivers, because a significant number of users are reporting many problems graphics, performance, stability, among others. But a small number of users are reporting several days for the death of their video cards, apparently caused by these drivers.
Among the problems encountered by users are:
- Flashing cursor in Chrome, Firefox and IE 10.
- The Return of the tdr bug .
- Textures flicker problems in various games.
- Underperformed previous drivers on some games.
- Instability and computer restarts.
Apparently, as happened with the fateful drivers GeForce 196.75 WHQL , some users are reporting abnormal behavior in their video cards to install this driver, which is manifested in the form of artifacts, crashes and the resulting physical damage well in vram (graphics memory) and / or the gpu itself, causing some video cards continue to show artifacts even when using another driver version, and sometimes the general failure (RIP) video card, which leaves function.
As we read in the two official themes in the Nvidia support forum, most cases occur in video cards factory overclocked, although some users report that also occurs with reference video cards. This happens with video cards based on various generations graphics (GeForce 500/600 Series).
If you are having any of the problems described, we recommend uninstalling these controllers immediately and return to the previous version. Users who do not experience any of the symptoms mentioned can continue to use these new drivers.
We will continue this topic to learn how to respond to users whose Nvidia GPUs were damaged, and if it is investigated thoroughly if the problem is with the drivers, and / or has something to do with the factory overclock made by some manufacturers video cards.
For now, in our forums , we have a few cases like that of an ASUS GeForce GTX 670 Direct CU II .
