AMD Announces FirePro accelerator for parallel computing S10000
In a previous filtration, apparently erroneously called FirePro SM10000 , but today amd announced its official trade name: FirePro S10000, its new accelerator parallel, part of its family of parallel accelerators for servers and supercomputers FirePro S Series (formerly called FireStream).
As assumed in the previous article, the new FirePro S10000 is based on the dual GPU solution known as new zealand (formed by two Tahiti GPUs LE) and based on your current graphics architecture Graphics Core Next (the same used in the Radeon GPUs HD 7000 Series). Here your specifications:
AMD FirePro S10000 supports the OpenCL API 1.2 and OpenACC (in the future will also support Heterogeneous System Architecture “HSA”), and has an MSRP of $ 3599, not bad for the solution with the highest computing power in double precision (1.48 Teraflops) and single-precision (5.91 Teraflops) industry.
