AMD CEO denies rumors of possible sale of the company

AMD CEO denies rumors of possible sale of the company

The alarms went off recently when, after the financial results delivered by AMD, some analysts estimate that the company was with some liquidity problems that have their managers looking for some options out of the problem.

But to reassure their employees and generally calm waters, the CEO of AMD, Rory Read-circulated an internal memo to his subordinates who also ended up becoming public, responding to an article published by Reuters in which quoted sources close to three confirmed that the company had sought advice from a bank to explore options for a possible sale. But Read denies everything and says that AMD is on the right track in terms of its future strategy:

“Let me assure you personally: we are not trying to sell AMD or any of its more significant resources. We are working flat out in our strategy, and we believe absolutely that we are on the right track. “

Of course, only time will tell if this official response from AMD is just an aspirin to buy time and calm his employees, or if you really are not with the intent to sell and get out of the supposedly-complicated financial situation would affect strongly some of the major manufacturers of processors present scenario.
