AMD completes the design of their GPUs Sea Islands
As we report from Digitimes, AMD in recent days has completed the Design (taped-out) from future Sea Islands GPUs (Radeon HD 8000 Series), which means that AMD has frozen the design of the chip and all the features that will the commercial editions, and will stage error correction (debugging) and their subsequent optimization for the manufacturing process to 28nm HP (High Performance) of TSMC.
AMD is expected to launch its new GPUs Sea Islands You probably late this year or during the first half of next year. By the time the specifications of the new GPUs are unknown.
