AMD FX CPU discontinued their first generation mid-2013
In recent weeks both Intel and amd have discontinued several lines of microprocessors , and today we learned that AMD also plans to discontinue its first generation microprocessors FX “Zambezi” (based on Bulldozer micro-architecture) for the first six months of next year .
The first in the list is the microprocessor AMD FX-8150 which will be discontinued from January to March 2013, followed by the AMD FX-8120, FX-6200 and FX-4170, which will be discontinued from April to June next year.
AMD microprocessors Other first-generation FX FX-6100, FX-4130 and FX-4100 still continue to occur during the last half of 2013, although it is quite likely to stop manufactured between July and September of next year, paving the way to microprocessors second generation FX “Vishera”, which offer better performance and are compatible with socket am3+ motherboards used by zambezi CPU.
