AMD launches Catalyst Display Driver 12.8 drivers
amd has released a new version of its Catalyst driver Display Driver 12.8, to move software compatible video cards from ATI Radeon HD 5400 Series to the AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series for Desktop VGAs, serving also for the professional line of AMD FireStream the 9170 to 9350, along with several other GPU for laptops or notebooks, excluding equipment Toshiba, Sony VAIO and Panasonic, and others who have switchable graphics.
There are several improvements on the operating system to which we pay attention. For example, under Windows XP was solved a specific problem in the game QQ Dancer, although it is in Windows 7 where further improvements were made. And that was corrected an issue where settings were not saved after a restart of the PC, as well as causing other falls, locks and corruption in the picture for several scenarios, such as running the game Crysis Warhead.
Other titles that are benefiting from this update in Windows 7 are Call of Duty: Black Ops, Shogun 2, Star Wars – The Old Republic, Dirt Showdown and Max Payne 3, while for Windows 8 fixes were Deus Ex – Human Revolution, Battlefield 3 and Need for Speed – The Run.
