A couple of weeks ago amd introduced its new line of professional GPUs for desktop architecture based FirePro Graphics Core Next (GCN), with the release of its gpu FirePro W600 and the announcement of its GPU FirePro W9000 . Today AMD launches their sisters for laptops (notebooks and laptops).
AMD FirePro Introduces Laptop Graphics based on Core architecture Next (GCN), a family of GPUs that started with three new members: FirePro M6000, M4000 and FirePro M2000. Those FireUser have developed a table to your specifications:
Apparently the three new FirePro Mobility are based on kernel chelsea (Cape Verde), and among them we find a surprise, a further curtailed version of the chip cape verde (the same used in GPUs AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series) that figure with 480 shader processors, a fact which I consider wrong, it is not possible at that setting GCN GPU, the most likely scenario is 448 or 384 shader processors.
The new GPUs will be available initially in the Dell Precision M4600 and M6600, and the HP Elitebook 8470W, 8570W and 8770W .
