AMD launches three new low-power APU
The launch of the AMD APU Series A-5000 for desktop socket FM2 is very close , but that does not mean that amd will focus solely on them and neglect their other product lines. From Planet 3DNow! inform us that AMD has introduced three new APUs for low-power laptops and tablets, two Trinity-LV/ULV based and one based on Zacate core.
Kernel-based apu Trinity-ULV and comprises two piledriver modules (four integer processing units + two units Flex-FP) running at 1.6GHz (2.4GHz Turbo Mode Core 3.0), a Radeon igp with 384 shader processors VLIW4 running at 320MHz (424MHz Core Turbo Mode 3.0), an integrated memory controller DDR3-1333 dual channel and a TDP of 19W.
APU based on Trinity-core ULV and consists of a module Piledriver (two integer processing units + one unidade Flex-FP) running at 1.9GHz (2.4GHz Turbo Mode Core 3.0), a Radeon IGP with 256 shader processors VLIW4 running at 327MHz (423MHz Core Turbo Mode 3.0), an integrated memory controller DDR3-1333 dual channel and a TDP of 17W.
Kernel-based APU Zacate (Brazos 1.0 platform) and comprises two bobcat cores running at 1GHz (1333MHz Turbo Mode), AMD Radeon graphics with 80 shader processors VLIW5 running at 276MHz (400MHz in Turbo mode) and integrated memory controller single channel DDR3-1066. This APU has a TDP of 9W, interestingly their specifications are very similar to the AMD C-60 APU, although it may be a typing error in the AMD site.
