AMD Radeon HD 7970 GPU GHz Edition “XT2 Tahiti” will work to 1.1GH
A few days ago we received an interesting review by HT4U which simulated the potential return that could offer the new amd gpu X2 Tahiti, which probably comes under the trade name of Radeon HD 7970GHz Edition (other presumed to be called Radeon HD 7980) review which used video card MSI R7970 Lightning at various frequencies up to 1.1GHz .
Apparently this simulation could be a reflection of what we offer with its new AMD GPU, because according to new information that comes from TechPowerUp, the new GPU Tahiti XT2 operate at a frequency of 1.1GHz (175MHz 925MHz higher than the Radeon hd 7970 “Tahiti XT”), plus the new GPU will run at a voltage of 1,020, voltage less than 1.175V of Tahiti XT.
It is expected that the new GPU enter mass production next week, so the first video cards based on it will be available next month.
