AMD will launch its A-Series APU second generation Oct. 2
Rumors about the possible release date of AMD A-Series APU second generation “Trinity” were bastente nearby, because from SemiAccurate we confirm that amd revealed that the trinity apu for desktop socket fm2 will be released next week ( on October 2).
The Trinity APU is based on the fusion of micro-architecture x86 Piledriver and graphics architecture VLIW4 “Northern Islands” and will be compatible with the new socket FM2, which bear three generations of APUs . Their prices are official yet, but is rumored to be in between $59 to $139 depending on model.
Trinity will be available in a wide range of frequencies that reach 4.2GHz for the CPU more than 1GHz for the GPU, which makes us assume that its specifications are somewhat different from the APU Trinity for OEM equipment , at least in the graphics.
AMD also announced that its Trinity APU will have many features aimed to overclock support the specification and AMP (AMD Memory Profile) feature rival XMP (eXtreme Memory Profile).
