AMD’s plant in Austin, Texas will be put up for sale
Since amd have denied all the possible ways that the company is not for sale and that the financial situation will be reversed thanks to the strategy currently being implemented their managers. And apparently, this strategy means selling some of its assets, such as the land and facilities in Austin, Texas.
The report comes from Reuters and indicates that the campus of 58 acres will be set either for Sale or lease, taking advantage “of favorable economic conditions in the sector where Austin is located,” according to the company representative Drew Prairie.
For now, AMD are bound to find an investor to do business with, probably a concession to several years to tap the money to finance its operations as major hardware company. Also, do not be the first time that AMD made such actions, when before and got rid of some of its properties in Sunnyvale, California, and Toronto.
