ARM: We are working with Microsoft on Windows RT to 64 bits
arm A few days ago announced the launch of its first 64-bit microprocessor, the new Cortex-A57 and Cortex-A53 , microprocessors promise a 30% higher performance Cortex-A15 to run both 32-bit and native performance (64 bits) than triples, but to harness this computing power will require new operating systems and 64-bit applications.
To ensure that your new microprocessors have a broad base of operating systems and compatible applications, ARM is working with developers of major operating systems, so Announces be working with Microsoft on the development of a future 64-bit windows RT compatible with all 64-bit instruction ARMv8, instructions used by recent Cortex-A57 and Cortex-A53, as well as 64-bit.
RT 64-bit Windows still has no confirmed release date, but presumably could come to light within one or two years, but this operating system is focused on tablets, notebooks and desktops based armv8 not yet has mentioned anything about possible plans for a Windows Server for ARM64.
