ASUS Announces New Sabertooth 990FX/GEN3 card R2.0

ASUS, the leading manufacturer of motherboards in the industry, announces its new R2.0 990FX/GEN3 Sabertooth motherboard supports amd socket AM3 + chips (FX Series of first and second generation) and AM3 (Phenom II, Athlon II and Sempron 100/200 Series), and that its most salient features have their support pcie 3.0 bus.
The asus Sabertooth motherboard 990FX/GEN3 R2.0 is based on the AMD 990fx chipset (AMD SB950 southbridge) and supports multi-GPU configurations 2-Way (16X/16X), 3-way (16X/8X/8X) and Quad (16X/16X) sli / CrossFireX (2/3-Way = two / three video cards, Quad = four GPUs in two dual GPU video cards) mode PCI Express (PCIe) 3.0, made possible by the support presence of a PCIe 3.0 Bridge chip (ASUS has not revealed the chip used), as the AMD 990FX chipset does not have native support for PCIe 3.0.
Among its other features are:
- Four slots DDR3-1866 memory (up to 32GB dual channel mode).
- Three PCIe 3.0 x16 slots (16X/16X or 16X/8X/8X).
- A PCIe 2.0 slot.
- Eight SATA-III (950 + SB 2X 6X ASMedia).
- Two eSATA ports-III.
- Gigabit Network (Realtek 8111F).
- HD 7.1 sound (Realtek ALC 892).
- Six USB 3.0 (ASMedia).
- 12 USB 2.0 ports.
The card has the solid design MDRE Engine ASUS TUF (digital + 8 +2 phase capacitors / High quality MOSFET ASUS Digi + +), the characteristic dissipation TUF Ceramic Ceramix line of ASUS Sabertooth motherboard, and a solid warranty five years.
ASUS has not revealed the date of availability or price.
