Auctioned an Apple 1 in nearly USD $ 388,000
An Apple 1 original, handmade by Steve Wozniak in 1976, was sold today at USD $ 387,750. This is one of the first computers manufactured by the company (which at the time worked in a garage), and therefore its value is collectible.
The Auction house Christie’s did not name the buyer wealthy, although we know that the seller was a psychologist retired Sacramento, California.
The price of Apple 1 has been rising as the years pass, and after the death of Steve Jobs in October 2011. In 2010 they sold one of these units for USD $ 240,000 , while in May one of these teams reached the record price of USD $ 671,400 at an auction in Germany.
