Barnes & Noble has NOOK for Web to read their books from the PC screen
Barnes & Noble has just introduced its new product which, as everyone would expect, has to do with digital books. nook for Web is “the new NOOK experience in the browser” that lets take a look at NOOK catalog without having to have a tablet, download a browser, or anything like that.
In fact is quite simple access through the web site prepared for the occasion , and runs on virtually all existing browsers. To promote the launch, Barnes & Noble is offering six e-books that can be downloaded free of charge (Map of Bones, Sex and the City, The Vow, The Boxcar Children Summer Special, Perfect Island Getaways and Brave), the idea is that people can read from any device, whether PC or NOOK own.
While NOOK to take advantage of you must have a user account Barnes & Noble NOOK for Web allows to bring the world of digital books to people who have never done it before. To review the samples through the website is not necessary to have an account, and most NOOK catalog has its digital displays, as a way to get people excited. The presentation can also be customized, either by changing the font size or layout of the pages, can be described as books or move their reading habits through Twitter or Facebook without having to stop what they are reading.
NOOK Web for now is only available on PC, but the promise is to take it later phones and tablets.
