Bay Trail-T Intel: Atom quad-core tablet will arrive in 2014
A snapshot of the planning that has for years intel has been leaked, and as expected, contained interesting information regarding the development of new microprocessors. In this case, we find the next generation platform called Bay Trail-T, which kept alive the Atom brand and is intended for use mainly in tablet.
It is noteworthy that the focus of these chips will be towards improving graphics performance as the top priority, meaning that the tablets are emerging to be important to run gaming devices, in addition to having high screen resolutions to move all kinds of multimedia content, for thus it requires a good graphics chip.
For this, we will see Bay Trail-T core processors up to four cores running at 2.1 GHz, without HyperThreading and facts under a 22nm process. On the side of the GPU, we know that there will be support for DirectX 11, a set that promises to deliver up to 11 hours of continuous use watching videos.
