Camatte57s: The Toyota electric car for child and parent to leave the console and drive a car together really

Those over 30 years, remembered perhaps as children, the distant dream of running their own car. The few that existed at that time were quite expensive and pedal, and if engine had were not suitable for children.

Today our children drive race cars on the console or on the PC. The electronic has replaced the mechanical hardware, the dreams of the children are not the same as before (or maybe yes?).

However, Toyota has opted for a return to the past with a modern touch, combining mechanical and electronic hardware in a toy for use by the with his dad together. For those who long for a child, this could be the opportunity to meet the “golden dream stroller own”, now that they are adults and with their children.

The Toyota aims to bring parents and children to work in teams in customizing the little car, race style. For this, the body comes without Camatte57S. The body disarmed, the form 57 removable and customizable exterior panels.

Since the car has three seats, which are dads can imagine your child saying, “Dad, Mom, what do you think if I take them to the park to ride in my car?”

Although the Camatte57s has an motor, Toyota does not give any details yet about how fast it moves, or how long the battery lasts, or how much it takes to recharge.

In fact, the only detail that is reported is, when the vehicle is driven by a child, an in the right rear seat, can help with steering and braking. Well, good! We doubt any parent let their young son, drive “your own self” without supervision.

According to Toyota Camatte name is based on the Japanese word for “care”, and looking mean caring for others or care for cars.

Obviously, the number 57 refers to the number of removable and customizable exterior panels, while the “S” stands for the Japanese word “sawaru” (touch).

Toyota wants the next generation of Japanese develop more love of cars, the current generation, which is more in love with electronic devices.

Here the size of the electric car:

  • Length: 3000 mm
  • Width: 1,440 mm
  • Height: 1,000 mm
  • Wheelbase: 1800 mm

Toyota does not want to say more for now. No word yet, when will be available, or how much it will cost. Nor do we know if they just intended for the Japanese market.

Here the video where you can see the assembly of the body. It looks so simple to make, that and can do together.
