Cheetah Robot reaches terrifying speed record of 45.5 km / h

The commissioned by Boston Dynamics to hit a new high speed, running at 45.5 km/h. In theory, if you ran as fast as Usain Bolt, you could not escape this metal beast.

The engineers in charge made some optimizations to the algorithms that control robot legs that mimic a real cheetah, achieving far exceed the speed the robot reached above 29 km / h. The same is far from biological par, which can run up to between 112 and 120 km/h.

The robot can not run independently yet, but is being held with a metal arm on a treadmill.

Cheetah is a project designed for military use, although we have no very clear what you want to do with it yet.
