“Chrome Metro” will be available in the next development version
Google is preparing a version of Chrome made to the Windows interface Metro 8, and the browser can download and try in the next dev version of the browser , the company said, to install and test the Preview Release .
Google engineer Carlos Pizano said that the first version will have “integration with the basic system features Windows 8, as the ‘charms’ and ‘snap view’”. It also promises better support touch interface and take Metro.
The company also released an image (above), which actually looks rather similar to standard browser. Not likely to have a very revolutionary design, but at least be an alternative to Internet Explorer from Metro.
Mozilla Metro also plans a version of Firefox, but still have not seen progress. Current browsers, not optimized for Metro, you can also run on Windows 8 but from the Desktop application.
Microsoft will not allow other browsers are installed on the ARM version, Windows RT, an issue that has already caused some controversy , although it is a policy similar to what Apple has on their devices.
