Club 3D announces video card Radeon HD 7870 JockerCard “Tahiti”
Since a few days the rumor circulating that a new GPU AMD readies known by its code name Tahiti LE , rumor that ceases to be today because the video card maker Club3D announces first video card based on Tahiti LE: The new Radeon hd 7870 JockerCard.
The video card Club3D Radeon HD 7870 is the first JockerCard video card known that amd will use the Tahiti LE GPU, which still lacks brand name, but given this nomenclature by Club3D, almost certainly end up being called Radeon HD Boost 7870 Edition “Tahili LE”, a curious name since his return could come dangerously close to the Radeon HD 7950.
Returning to the new Radeon HD 7870 from Club3D JockerCard, this will be a limited edition (do not know the exact number of cards produced), which have the following characteristics:
- Based on AMD Tahiti gpu (Graphics Core Next architecture “GCN”).
- 1536 shader processors running at 925MHz (975 MHz in Turbo mode).
- 2GB of GDDR5 memory “256 bits” running at 1500MHz (6000MHz effective).
- 96 texture units (TMUs).
- 32 rendering units (ROPs).
- CoolStream cooling system.
- Format double slot.
Club3D has yet to reveal its exact release date, but this could coincide with the rumors this November 27.
