Cuevana officially pronounce on the issue of security of Firefox plugin
Yesterday jumped alarms: the famous CUEVANA plugin for some browsers have been generating security problems , so that site administrators asked its users to change all your passwords while investigating the situation thoroughly.
The results of this research are appearing slowly and again Cuevana administration launches a statement explaining what really happened: their servers would have suffered an unauthorized intrusion, where attackers modified the source code of the plugin for Firefox. And among those affected by the problem, we have installed the plugin all those between 1 and 16 September.
From Cuevana also say they are in touch with the folks at Mozilla to discuss. For now, we recommend changing your password and update to version 4.3 of the plugin, and it becomes clear that the other browsers are free of the problem, only Firefox was affected. The full statement can read in the attached link.
