Curiosity is prepared to reach Mars with explanatory videos of William Shatner and Wil Wheaton
The Curiosity Rover arrive next weekend to Mars, and Star Trek-style report on the implications of this fact, NASA created two videos narrated by actors William Shatner (Captain Kirk) and Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher on Star Trek).
The narration of the video is exactly the same, only the voice is different, although it is interesting to hear the intonations of the characters.
“The actors are icons for fans of science fiction in the world through his work on Star Trek. Shatner is still a pop culture phenomenon with more than 50 years on stage, TV and movies, while Wheaton is not only a successful actor, but a writer who has a huge fan base in social media, ” NASA said.
The video aims to educate about what they will face when you reach the Curiosity mars on 6 August. The process of entering the atmosphere and safe landfall is complex. The rover has 7 minutes to reduce its speed from 21,000 km/h to a soft landing. For this reason he has called this space of time the “seven minutes of terror”.
