Documentary “Hidden Universe” explores the universe from Chile in IMAX 3D
Countries with access to an IMAX Cinema will enjoy a new Documentary with some of the highest resolution images we have of certain structures and areas of the universe. The images were captured by the Very Large Telescope (VLT) and the Atacama Large Millimeter / submillimeter Array (ALMA), both installed in northern Chile.
The film’s director, Russell Scott, said filming in the Atacama desert and mountains of the Andes “almost makes you feel on another planet, and this sense of nature beyond what we are accustomed to is exactly what I want to convey to the audience. “
The film includes 3D simulations based on data captured by VLT, ALMA and other telescopes like Hubble. The documentary covers the sun, the human connection to the cosmos, and views of distant galaxies.
For while we were in the trailer.
