Exploit in SoC Exynos 4 compromises the security of Samsung Galaxy devices
alephzain member of XDA Developers has discovered a vulnerability in the popular Samsung exynos soc 4, present in many popular portable devices like: Samsung galaxy S2, Samsung Galxy Note 2, Meizu MX and other devices based on the SOC Samsung Exynos 4210 and 4412 .
The vulnerability is present in the kernel and allows attackers to circumvent the system and get permission to access the RAM and insert malicious code into the kernel, the Samsung Exynos SoC 5 are not affected by this ruling. Samsung is expected to take the necessary steps to resolve this error promptly.
