Form consortium to define the next standard high-speed Ethernet

Today, they announced the creation of the IEEE 802.3 Higher Speed Ethernet Connections Industry Consensus, which has invited all participants in the technology industry to collaborate with the development of the next standard for connectivity via high-speed Ethernet.

And that face the adoption and advances made by the Wi-Fi, Ethernet and yet timeless is the preferred option especially in business and home connections, given its stability and security. Thus, the first goals will reach speeds between 400Gbps and 1Tbps.

The idea is to adapt to new technologies, such as the transition to enterprise servers that use storage units faster, which will require higher bandwidth to move fast generation of large amounts of information.
