Futurology: New MacBook Pro will have retinal display, USB 3.0 and will be slim

Everyone is waiting for an update of the MacBook Pro, but the question is whether the renovation will go beyond a change of processor, and if we can expect a new design. According to rumors circulating this morning, the new version of these laptops will include displays such as “Retina”, in addition to lose some weight making them thinner.

It is said that the model will lose its 15-inch optical drive in the process of diet, and that the power button will be located where once was the button to eject the disc.

The screen in question could be a resolution of 2880 x 1800, as indicated citing sources as production line in China.

The latest addition would be USB 3.0, which work together with the Thunderbolt port, thanks to Intel started supporting the format natively on Ivy Bridge chipsets.

It is possible that the new model will see the light at WWDC 2012 in June.
