G.SKILL launches new SSD at attractive prices
Under the name of Phoenix III G.SKILL is that the company has launched its new series of solid state drives (SSD), targeted for use in equipment requiring high performance storage with high data transfer rates.
And is that the models, driven by a SandForce SF-2281 controller, deliver read speeds of 550 MB/sec and 520 MB/sec in writing, being able to move a flow of 60,000 IOPS, all in a small form of 2.5-inch notebook with a thickness of 7mm.
How much? USD $95 120GB drives and $180 for the 240GB, quite convenient prices to a dollar menso GB, and are only slightly (between ten and twenty dollars) below the U.S. average.
