Get to the top of Everest looking at this picture of 4000 million pixels
A filmmaker and mountaineer worked five years creating a huge four-gigapixel image of Mount Everest, now we can see zooming down to the smallest detail. The photograph was made by glacier Works, as part of their job to track the effects of climate change on the glaciers of Mount Everest.
The interactive image consists of 400 individual photos, taken with a 300mm lens, which were then joined to create the mega-image of almost 4,000 million pixels.
GlacierWorks tries to raise awareness of the changes in glaciers, wearing images of glaciers with old photographs taken by other mountaineers, showing the variations in the landscape.Everest, Gigapixel, glacier, image, Photography
