Google equipped with Raspberry Pi and Arduino to English students
The president of Google, Eric Schmidt announced that will help pay for the training of 100 Science teachers and equip classrooms with computers and Raspberry Pi Arduino for students to learn. No figures were mentioned, but it will donate an amount to an organization called First Teachers, which takes recent graduates of the university, passed through an intensive program of six weeks and then puts them to classes in schools for two years.
Google’s donation enough to pay for 100 new science teachers, mostly for the computer area.
Arduino and Raspberry Pi products are favorites among modders and people who assemble their own teams, which have great potential and are of low price, allowing high adaptation.
The announcement comes after Schmidt criticized Britain for not educating more in computer science, business has changed in the last year in England. Hopefully this kind of initiative to replicate elsewhere.
