Google image search changed to make it more difficult to find porn

Google image search changed to make it more difficult to find porn

Attention, this change only works if you are using in the U.S., and not active in other countries. That does not mean that change will not come around here, though.

The alert began yesterday when someone was looking for porn and noticed that I could not find the photos that appeared before when I did a turning off SafeSearch. Indeed, the company changed its image search algorithm, making more difficult to find explicit content.

“We’re not censoring adult content, and we want to show users exactly what they are looking for – but we aim to show no sexually explicit content unless the user is specifically looking for them,” said a company spokesperson told CNET.

“We use algorithms to select the most relevant to a request. If you are searching for adult content you can find it without having to change the default settings – just need to be more specific in your search if your terms are potentially ambiguous. The configuration image search now works just like web search, “said the company.

In short, if you’re looking for porn on Google you will write in detail what you want on the toolbar to display the explicit content. It is unclear how this will be implemented in the international versions of Google, but well, porn seekers already warned.
