Google rejects erotic applications for Glass
Google updated its policies to developers this weekend, declaring that “we do not allow Glassware that contains nudity, sexually explicit or sexually explicit material.” The remark comes after it appeared an application called “Tits and Glass”, created by the developers of MiKandi, an application store with adult content.
The application in question allows users to share “bold content” and comes with “premium adult photos”, according to the announcement. MiKandi is now evaluating how to proceed after this change in policy.
For now, the software Glassware or Glass only available to developers who paid USD $ 1500 for being among the first to try one of these devices. The glasses can not be bought in stores yet.
Porn is not the only problem facing Glass, raising questions about how this device affect the privacy of individuals, especially those who are not using Glass, but that could be identified by the computer via facial recognition, by instance.
So far, Google has not made many specifications about what developers can and can not do, but that probably will change, as we have seen in this case. In addition to the sexually explicit content Google also prohibits violent, bullying, inciting hatred, deceptive behavior, gambling and illegal activities.
