The ftc is investigating whether this purchase does not violate any anti-competitive practice in the United States and is, according to that country’s media, Google did not report this acquisition for review and approval by the government. While the process of integrating any technology Waze Google’s products will be paused until the process ends.
The commission could even force Waze Google to resell at auction if it is determined that the purchase violates U.S. law. Among some potential buyers (if it were to be the case) include Facebook, Apple and Microsoft.
