HP shows its Proliant Servers based Moonshot Kyoto AMD and ARM SoC Cortex-A9/A15
A few months ago HP introduced its first HP proliant micro moonshot 1500 soc based on Intel Atom for Server S1200 Series “Centerton” , but promised that soon would also have other microprocessor-based servers.
True to his promise, HP shows its new Moonshot servers microprocessors based on the following:
- SoCs amd Opteron Xx150 Series “Kyoto” (Jaguar quad core running at up to 2.0GHZ + IGP AMD FirePro GCN).
- calxeda energycore SoCs (quad-core arm Cortex-A9 running at 1.4GHz).
- Texas instru ments KeyStone SoCs II (quad-core ARM Cortex-A15).
Recall that the SoC AMD opteron X Series “Kyoto” are based on micro-architecture Jaguar, the same used on consoles Sony PlayStation 4 and Microsoft XBox One, as well as in the SoC Temash and Kabini, which is a sample adaptable than this architecture, covering various market segments.
HP confirms that these new members of its family of micro-Moonshot Proliant servers will be available between July and December this year.
