IDF2012: Intel Core i5 CPU demonstrates a Haswell-based DT
Although it is expected that future intel Core microprocesadore based fourth-generation micro-architecture Haswell will be thrown into the middle of next year at the event IDF2012, Intel gave us a brief demonstration of a preliminary copy desk (Haswell-DT).
The prototype shown has two cores running at 2.6GHz (four processing threads thanks to HyperThreading Technology), 6MB L3 and graphics Denlow GT2 , so presumably it could be a dual-core Core i5 (dual core Core i5 exist such as the Core i5-3470T for socket LGA 1155).
The equipment was tested by running the game Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 at a resolution FullHD 1080p (1920 X 1080) and various graphic filters disabled; behaving smoothly. Good enough to be integrated graphics.
Intel confirmed that the IGP Denlow GT3 unavailable for desktop CPUs “Haswell-DT”, and that will only be available for Laptop versions (Haswell-MB) and Ultrabooks (Haswell-ULT).
