IDF2012: Intel Xeon cGPU Phi shows his “Knights Corner”
A few weeks ago met some details coprocessor Xeon Phi formerly intel Knights Corner. From SemiAccurate bring us some images of a demonstration of Intel idf2012 event held at the show in which a server equipped with two xeon Phi.
Although according filtered data previously thought to be composed Phi Xeon x86 cores 62 according SemiAccurate 64 will comprise cores, but several variants exist with some cores disabled. The specimens shown had 56 cores and 8GB of memory each.
Consumption is not known but the equipment Xeon shown Phi consumption 190W was at rest and with a co-Phi Xeon processor, adding the second intake came to 248W, which indicates that a 56-Phi Xeon cores has a consumption 58W at rest (still unknown maximal).
Since this is a preliminary issue still can not conclude anything until the release of the final version in December this year.
