IFA 2012: LG presents EA93 monitor extra-wide 21:9

IFA 2012: LG presents EA93 monitor extra-wide 21:9

(C) The Verge

Many people prefer to work with more than one to have enough space to operate comfortably, with all the software you need to use. But what if we change two monitors for one super wide where it should be all you need? That’s what we’re betting with EA93 with an aspect ratio of 21:9 uncommon.

The result is an IPS monitor with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,080 pixels. According to LG, the movies can be displayed smoothly on this monitor because it has the same aspect ratio as the movie screens. Philips tried to introduce a TV in this format two years ago without much success, but maybe between LG monitors have more successful in using it for multitasking.

Still, it can be a problem the lack of content that takes advantage of such a display. If we make video streaming (like watching YouTube), we would have black bars on the sides because this resolution is not supported.

LG has not announced the price or the date to which goes on sale this monitor. ? Would opt for a screen like this for your PC?
