Innodisk launches first World Micro SATA SSD
The device is about one percent the size of a typical SSD 2.5 “, it only measures 16x20x2mm and weighs just 1.5 grams.
The nano SSD comes in capacities ranging from 4GB to 64GB, has a SATA3 interface through the interface BGA (Ball Grid Array), and has very respectable performance figures. It is reported that the reading speed reaches up to 480MB / s, and write speed up to 175MB / s. It also supports x86 and ARM.
This type of product is unlikely to be sold directly to consumers, but OEMs to place on ultrabooks, tablets, mobile phones and more.
Innodisk has not said anything about when your nano SSD will start to be used in the devices, however, will present a seminar on SSD technology which will take place on May 30, 2013, at the International Convention Center Taipei.
