Intel and VMware collaborate to improve security in the cloud infrastructure
intel just announced a new partnership with VMWare, focusing its efforts on providing increased security to cloud-based infrastructure. The idea is that companies generally leave aside the reluctance to adopt virtual infrastructure, which so far have failed to take off because of security issues, among other things.
This new alliance will unite two main concepts: Intel brings the technology hardware Trusted Execution Technology (TXT), and vmware vSphere his 5.1, the operating system for cloud computing. According to Jason Waxman, head of cloud infrastructure Intel, VMware technology “is essential to build a foundation of trust virtual infrastructure,” and that the cloud is already mature enough to make this partnership a success.
In Intel also say that one of the major uncertainties of IT managers globally is the feeling of insecurity in general decentralized data centers, and the lack of tools capable enough to defend itself from cyber attacks today days are becoming quite common. With the partnership between Intel and VMware, are the first steps towards building a platform that hope has been well received in the business sector.cloud, intel, Trusted Execution Technology, vmware, vSphere 5.1
