Intel Atom eliminate their brand desktop PCs

Bay Trail D is the big proposal quad core for the desktop market, but it appears that this SoC lose its well-known brand. Intel plans to use the for Atom-based SoC BGA.

The list includes the Celeron processors to replace the Atom J1750 BGA Cedar View Atom D2550 and the Celeron J1850, which should replace the Celeron 847 and 807 processors based on Sandy Bridge.

Furthermore, the Pentium J2850 should be faster than the architecture Celeron 1007U Ivy Bridge. Both components Bay Trail D, based on BGA, come out in the last quarter of 2013. At that time we expect to see also the portable version of Bay Trail.

Intel has high hopes for this new generation of Atom processors, which obviously not Atom will bear the name, at least not in the desktop version, but will come with a new and improved four-core processor as well as a system DirectX 11 compatible graphics.
