Intel CEO not afraid of competition because “the best chip is always the winner”

Perhaps as happened not long ago, in the market for the manufacture of chips and has been strong for Intel. In the past, the company always managed to keep in the first place despite what he did the rest, even with AMD taking a good share of the pie in recent years.

But Paul Otellini, CEO, is confident of what they can do, even with the entry of new competition. In a recent interview, the director of the firm maximum remembered those who have been rivals in the past (Transmeta and Via), and as the market decided who were still in the race and who is not:

“I’ve been in the business a long time and I well remember them. Competitors come and go, and we have never been alone, but ultimately, the best chip has always won. “

The point is that this time Intel will be competing not with ghosts, but with established brands in their respective segments and split its operations not just yesterday. ARM, Marvell, or Qualcomm, to name a few, are heavyweights in the market and the fact is that beyond confidence Otellini, Intel will have to work harder when it comes to produce and promote their products.
