Intel Core i5-3350P without IGP cost U.S. $177
A few months ago we learned that intel plans to launch a new microprocessor core based on Ivy Bridge-DT , but without integrated graphics: Core i5-3350P . From Xtreview reveal that this chip will be priced at U.S. $177.
Microprocessor Core i5-3350P will consist of four cores running at 3.1GHz x86 (a 3.3GHz Turbo Boost mode 2.0), 6MB of L3 and integrated memory controller DDR3-1600, unlike other Intel-based microprocessors ivy bridge-dt core, this does not have integrated graphics, but rather the right thing would be to say that these are disabled by factory.
With no integrated graphics, the CPU is not compatible with Quick Sync 2.0 technology found in other microprocessors with IGPs HD Graphics 4000 and 2500, but the lack of PGI allows you to have a TDP of 69W.
The suggested retail price of this chip will be $177; price that does not sound good compared to the $195 (U.S. $18 difference) Core i5-3450 (3.1GHz), which has IGP HD Graphics 2500, Quick Sync technology 2.0 and Turbo mode faster (3.5GHz), although we should mention for the i5-3350P 8W TDP is its less than the i5-3450, but this is not much consolation to have lost so much functionality.
The Intel Core i5-3350P will be released from the remainder of this month and September this year.
