Intel Itanium 9500 Series CPUs will be released later this year
A few months ago we learned that intel plans to Launch its new microprocessors for servers based on its new micro-architecture Poulson, which will be launched under the brand name of Itanium 9500 Series .
According to Tom’s ITPro, Intel has confirmed that the new microprocessors itanium 9500 Series will be launched during the last months of this year, and will be available in several models with up to eight cores and 32MB of L3 frequencies between 1.7GHz to 2.53GHz.
Microprocessors based Itanium microarchitecture Poulson (based on EPIC architecture: explicity Parallel Instruction Computing) be made with the 32nm manufacturing process and made up 3.1 billion transistors, a figure considerably higher than the 1.4 billion Ivy Bridge- DT or 2.27 billion of Sandy Bridge-E, like the latter, use the QPI bus.
