Intel launches new Atom CPU D2560
The microprocessor family intel Atom D2000 and N2000 Series “Cedarview” was released in September last year with the NM Series chipsets, both products together make the platform Cedar Trail for netbooks and desktops.
Intel has quietly introduced today its new atom microprocessor D2560 “Cedarview”, which like other Atom Cedarview is based in Saltwell microarchitecture and manufactured with a 32nm manufacturing process Intel. The new Atom D2560 has two cores running at 2GHz (capable of running four threads of processing thanks to hyperthreading), 1MB L2, integrated graphics and memory controller integrated DDR3-1066.
The MSRP of the new microprocessor is U.S. $ 47, and comes in a way to cover the segment previously occupied by the recently discontinued D2700 Atom microprocessor .
