We know that plans to launch later this year its first atom soc for low power servers known by its code name Centerton , and that at some point in 2013 launched his replacement known by the code name Avoton .

For now do not have further details on Avoton, but from WCCF Tech bring us the first details on Avoton, which will be a SoC based on the new micro-architecture Silvermont and manufactured with a 22nm manufacturing process Intel, will also consisting of up to eight cores, each equipped with 512KB of L2 (quad core will Avoton 1MB L2 per core) and running at between 2.4 to 2.7GHz, its TDP will be between 5 to 20W.

Being a SOC, Avoton not require the use of southbridges or PCH (Platform Controller Hub), it has drivers NB, SB, PCIe 2.0, SATA, USB and integrated LAN. Future SoC Avoton conform the new platform for low-power servers called, and will be launched during the second half of next year.
