Intel shows its third generation NUC “Wilson Canyon” # CTX2013
The Mini-PC Intel Next Unit of Computing (NUC) have been relatively successful with consumers, thanks to its small size and pretty decent performance for its class. In its relatively short existence, has evolved as NUC over the years:
- NUC first generation “Box Canyon” (based on Intel Sandy Bridge-ULV).
- NUC second generation “Horse Canyon” (based on Intel Ivy Bridge-ULV).
- NUC third generation “Wilson Canyon” (based on Intel Haswell-ULT SoC).
The new third generation NUC promise significant improvements: higher yield per cycle, more graphics performance, lower fuel consumption and less heat generation, improvements that will help make these small-sized PC into products much more competent than their previous generations.
