Intel wants to start work on 10nm technology for 2015
A little over a year, intel anticipated future plans with respect to chip fabrication, and that included the arrival of the extent of 10nm by 2018 . However, it appears that the giant’s plans have changed a bit, and 10nm could even one or two years ahead.
The idea now is to have ready Intel development process of 14nm by the end of 2013, thus entering the mass production of its architecture known as Broadwell . Thereafter, there could be noted in passing the plans, and from 2015 to begin work prior to a 10nm manufacturing technology.
Mark Bohr’s presentation at the Intel Developers Forum 2012, as you can see in the photo, did not go into more detail about the future of their microarchitectures. But it is clear that the research phase of the measures of 10nm, 7 nm and 5nm start from 2015 onwards, at a road map that projects 10 years into the future.
