Kodak printers are no longer manufactured and will focus more input sales only
Apparently, Kodak’s efforts to emerge from Bankruptcy in which it is included neglecting the world of photography to focus only on printers . However, that business niche is equally limited, as it also will give up the Printers for common users and wildlife.
Kodak’s new approach will focus only on selling supplies for their printers (read inks), as part of a restructuring plan that aims at the revival of the company over the next year. According to Antonio Perez, CEO of Kodak, this move will allow them to improve the flow of money towards the year 2013, and so little by little venting their difficult financial situation.
The new Kodak will be a company that is dedicated to providing solutions for commercial printing and business type. Of course, first of all must continue to reduce its workforce: 1200 still expected layoffs, which allow savings of $340 million per year.
