Kontron motherboard prepares Tegra based KTT30/mITX 3
In November last year soc Nvidia launched its Tegra 3 , which is based on the arm Cortex-A9 core and consists of 4 +1 cores (four for general purpose operations and one optimized for low power use in standby mode ) and an Nvidia GeForce GPU ULP (16 shaders). This SoC has been relatively successful in use in tablets and smartphones, and now thanks to Kontron will also be used on a motherboard.
Kontron, a manufacturer of solutions for the industrial segment (embedded), announces its new motherboard KTT30/mITX, which as the name suggests uses the Mini-ITX format and can be installed in any enclosure that meets the mini-ITX format. The motherboard is based on the Nvidia Tegra 3 SoC and has the following configuration:
- Tegra 3 4 +1 cores running at 900MHz + ULP GeForce graphics.
- DDR3L memory up to 2GB.
- Three USB 2.0 ports.
- 10/100/1000 LAN port.
- SD storage ports (2X), eMMC (1X) and SATA 2.0 (1X).
- Two serial ports.
- A slot mPCIe / mSATA.
- HDMI output.
The card has a dimension of 17x17cm and consumption of 7W, and is aimed at segments of digital signage, medical and instrumentation. Price is still unknown.
