Lexmark leaves the business of inkjet printers

Lexmark leaves the business of inkjet printers

From Legit reviews inform us that announces today that they will begin a thorough internal reorganization, which will include many changes in the way we operate Lexmark, to prioritize their most profitable divisions. As part of this reorganization, Lexmark has decided to leave the business of inkjet printers.

So, leave the manufacturing Lexmark inkjet printers, but will continue to provide support and service their products, and they continue to manufacture consumables (ink cartridges). Unfortunately as a result of that decision Lexmark 1700 job cuts.

This measure will allow Lexmark to reduce its annual expenses by $95 million once completed to implement, also announced that re-acquire its own shares, for which they have earmarked an initial fund of $100 million and could grow to $251 million in the future.

No doubt this is a very bad news for us as consumers, as we have one less competitor in the market for inkjet printers, and that means fewer alternatives.
